The City Centre Churches in Leicester are
seeking to work ever more closely together in a whole range of
activities, to experience the reality
of that unity for which Jesus prayed.
Prayer is at the heart of our Christian
life and, as well as our own daily cycles of prayer and praying with
the congregation we are members of, we meet together for half an hour's prayer and
worship each
month in different churches, following a style
chosen by the host church. Anyone is welcome to attend these times
of prayer - members of the city
centre churches and other people who find
themselves in the city centre at lunchtime,
looking for an opportunity for prayer. Our times of shared
prayer provide us with an opportunity to pray for
our city in all its rich diversity as well as
an
opportunity to meet one another after the worship
for a chat over tea and coffee.
